Pinterest Refracting Rainbow Project

Refracting Rainbow

Here is a quick insight on how the process of this assignment works:

First start off by getting three see through glasses. Make sure you've got a good light source for this project! It helps!

Then after you have your three glasses, your going to want to take those and fill them up with quite a bit of water. For students, make sure they do all this over the sink, or it might get pretty messy.

The picture on the bottom right let's you know about how much water you'll need in the glasses. After you've got the glasses all filled up you'll need to grab your food coloring dye.

Take your food coloring dye. In each glass, put one of the primary colors of dye in the glasses. You should have a glass that has red water, a glass that has blue water, and a glass that has yellow water.

Now you'll have students run through the activity. This is how the project will look through their eyes, up close and personal.

You'll have students go through all of the steps in the lesson plan which again, is included in the link at the beginning of this post.
This is just one of the many ways that teachers can use Pinterest in their classrooms. You can use Pinterest to find new lesson plans for your classrooms or share new ones with other teachers. Pinterest can be used as a way to collaborate amongst each other in a creative, yet professional manner.
